There are many things to do when building a community like this, but surely the most important must be the place of the Eucharist, the heart of the community – as Christ must be. The Chapel of St Gabriel is served by Fr Augustine as assistant priest to the parish of St Nicholas & St Blane in the cathedral city of Dunblane, in the heart of Scotland. We are blessed that in spite of weather, train problems, and the other issues that beset a far-flung community, there are still services which can be attended in the vibrant city of Glasgow. The community is small but welcoming to all who are curious about the Orthodox church, who need some peace and some spiritual sustenance in these difficult times of both global and personal uncertainty. While it is an outpost of the St Nicholas Community, the number of visitors surely reflects the thirst for Christ and the Truth amidst the peoples.
