Father Augustine McBeth
Bishop Augustine is the Orthodox chaplain to the University of Glasgow, the first in the university’s history. He is a Glasgow native, and a priest-monk of the Russian Orthodox Exarchate in Western Europe.
In 2014 he was invited by Metropolitan Kallistos to be the Orthodox chaplain for the world-famous island of Iona off the west coast of the island of Mull in the Inner Hebrides in Scotland.
Bishop Augustine was consecrated to the episcopacy within the Archdiocese of Orthodox Churches of Russian Tradition in Western Europe on 14th December, 2025, in Paris, holding the title of Bishop of Taldom.
Bishop Augustine is a confessor and the only priest in our Community at the moment.
